Greater Louisville Hotel and Lodging Association forum

WDRB 41 - August 3, 2010

Three men who want to be Louisville's next mayor shared the stage Tuesday afternoon.

Democrat Greg Fischer, Republican Hal Heiner, and Independent Jackie Green took part in the forum at the Greater Louisville Hotel and Lodging Association.

All have their own plans for the city if they're elected.

Greg Fischer: "A big part of my campaign is about capitalizing on what's unique about our city...when I say the best city in the world, we're not going to be the biggest, and that's fine."

Hal Heiner: "We can do all of the ads and newspapers and magazines around this country. But you compare that to someone coming into our city and spending three days or a week, and we need to make sure we leave them with a memory where they can't stop talking about our city, and that will grow jobs in this community."

Jackie Green: "At this point in our history, Louisville needs a mayor that will help set a new agenda, define a new vision, and determine a new direction."
